ANZAC Day Concert
Our ANZAC day concerts are starting to become a tradition in Dannevirke, generally the theme of the concert relates to those who went before us, but is always a mix of humourous songs and acts and is thoroughly enjoyed by many, young and old alike.
Impromptu Evenings (Currently Cancelled)
The Impromptu Evenings are currently being held on the first Sunday night of each month, at 7 pm. Any members of the public regardless of experience or age, are invited to come to the Theatre and share a song, poem, instrumental, poetry reading, dance, magic act... etc.
This is to encourage new talent and provides an opportunity to gain stage experience, all public are invited free of charge to these evenings.

Committee and Membership
Annual Membership of the Dannevirke Theatre Company Inc. is $20 inc GST. New members are most welcome, the committee meets usually on the second Tuesday night of the month, please phone any from the above contact list if you are interested in being a part of the Theatre company, be it in acting, back stage work or committee involvement.
Fountain Theatre Hireage
With a seating capacity of 100, kitchen & bar facilities and good car parking, the Fountain Theatre is a good option for most sorts of functions: birthdays, reunions, fashion parades, concerts etc. The hireage fee for one day (to midnight) is currently $165.00 inc. GST.
Additional services can be hired, sound and lighting if required, the bar can be staffed to serve either the Theatre companies bar stock or refreshments provided by the hiree.
Liquor License: It is the Sole responsibilty of the person Hiring the Fountain Theatre to obtain a Liquor License from Tararua District Council, for the supply or sale of any Alcoholic beverages at their said event.
The cost of the license is the sole responsibilty of the person Hiring the Fountain Theatre, the license must be shown at the event. A copy of the License must be supplied with Hireage payment 14 days prior to the event.
Costume Hire
Dannevirke Theatre Company has an extensive Wardrobe, the Costume Hire is open on Thursday nights from 5 pm to 6 pm...ish, back entrance of the theatre on Hall street. A great place to grab an authentic period costume for that next theme party, there is a great line up of clothing plus props from medieval to military, bad girl to ball gowns. Here is a happy customer at a fancy dress party, "Agent 99" from Woodville.
Here is our Celeb model once again, to complete the pre WW2 look they arrived with style in a vehicle from the era (not included in the props available for hire!)
